Haig’s real estate career has exposed him to a variety of residential real estate disciplines including development, asset repositioning, and asset management. Prior to co-founding SixPine, Haig worked at a vertically integrated real estate investment and operating platform with over $2.5bn AUM. At the firm, Haig was a key member of the acquisitions and capital markets group as well as the asset management team. He oversaw the acquisition and implementation of value-add business plans and several ground-up development projects in the Mid-West. Haig also helped launch and manage the private equity firm’s open-end fund. During his career, Haig has also managed construction and property operations. His perspective benefits from a combination of property level and fund level operating experience.

Alex’s real estate experience is anchored by his background in development and his entrepreneurial mindset. Prior to co-founding SixPine, his expertise was established while working as an acquisitions and development associate for one of the largest LIHTC developers on the west coast. He led the process to identify, underwrite and acquire land for development. In that role he oversaw the acquisition and entitlement of 3,000 multifamily units in California and Arizona. In 2018, Alex initiated an independent endeavor to acquire, reposition, and develop multifamily assets in Los Angeles. He personally oversaw all facets of project management and property operations to ensure the successful repositioning of the acquired assets. Alex’s experience has exposed him to every aspect of operations and the investment cycle.

 

Alex holds a BSA from Babson College and a Master of Real Estate Development from Columbia University.
